Quite literally a top 3 bakery in the Ottawa/Gatineau region. The almond croissant is as good as I've had in Paris.

I love their good breads and their excellent muffins. The pear and chocolate muffin is a delight. The staff is also very welcoming.

Excellent community bakery, offering many choices of breads with incredible prices.I believe most of their bread have a sourdough base. They also have day old breads with a slight discount. I wish I knew about this place earlier.

Croissants, breads, biscuits, muffins, coffee: really everything is delicious at Alain's Bread. And the staff is very friendly. Only problem: closed on Sunday! I wonder how much turnover they lose by being closed on this perfect day of the week to eat a fresh croissant in the morning! If it were not for this small (big?) Problem, I would give them a five-star rating.
